The soprano is my personal favourite size of uke: small but perfectly formed. The neck meets the body at the 12th fret. Built to my own design (but inspired by the old Martin uke), it has power, volume, and a sweet tone, making it the perfect rhythm ukulele.
This is a beautiful soprano with a spruce top and African Blackwood back and sides and the fretboard and bridge are real ebony offcuts from a frame-maker friend of mine. The Blackwood is dense and hard, which combines with the light spruce top to give a very LOUD ukulele. 12 frets, Gotoh UPT tuners, Aquila Strings.
It measures roughly 54cm (length), 16cm (widest width) and 5cm (depth).
