This was a commission - a beautiful koa soprano ukulele body with a tenor scale neck, and wonky to boot!
The wonkylele, as ever, gives the player the comfortable playing position, with the neck tilting upwards. And because the neck meets the body at the 15th fret it allows easy access to the top end of the fretboard. This ukulele gives you the benefits of tenor fret spacing on a soprano body - in my mind the best of both worlds...
And although the body is small, the sound it produces is BIG! Not like a soprano and not like a tenor but with a surprising and exciting tone all of its own.
This one is all koa with ebony fingerboard and bridge. The sound it delivers is huge with a long sustain (for a ukulele). Gotoh UPT tuners.
It measures roughly 62cm (length), 18cm (widest width) and 5cm (depth).
