The soprano is my personal favourite size of uke: small but perfectly formed. The neck meets the body at the 12th fret. Built to my own design (but inspired by the old Martin uke), it has power, volume, and a sweet tone, making it the perfect rhythm ukulele.
This Yew Soprano ukulele (or perhaps Yewkulele) is a one-of-a-kind uke made in amazingly figured Yew with a beautiful Walnut fretboard and bridge. The neck is solid english oak. Quite a statement piece and a really exciting lively sound. 12 frets, Gotoh UPT tuners, Aquila strings and a white nut and saddle.
The Yew was reclaimed after a storm brought down some trees in a botanical garden in the South East of England. But now it sings again!
It measures roughly 54cm (length), 16cm (widest width) and 5cm (depth).
